Nova Scotia Ask Certification

The NS ASK Project is a unique, partnership-based project working with schools to support the implementation of physically active learning in schools across Nova Scotia. Implementing physically active learning can increase student engagement, enhance physical activity levels, and promote peer collaboration, while also reinforcing curriculum content.

Basics Of Decoding and Spelling Instruction Certification

The International Dyslexia Association is an organization that promotes research-based understanding of dyslexia and supports effective reading instruction. It provides guidelines, resources, and training, such as Structured Literacy, to help teachers use methods proven to improve reading and spelling for all students.

Using IDA-aligned methods helps teachers provide clear, consistent instruction that supports all learners. It allows teachers to catch skill gaps early, teach reading and spelling more efficiently, and build students' confidence because lessons are predictable and supportive. Overall, it provides teachers with a strong, research-based framework that leads to more successful, independent readers and writers.
